1. Sodium Hydroxide Product Description

Sodium Hydroxide (CAS 1310-73-2), also known as lye, caustic soda, caustic soda flakes, caustic soda pearls or sodium hydroxide flakes, is a strong, white, hygroscopic, and water-soluble alkaline chemical compound. It is used in a wide variety of industrial and commercial applications, including the manufacture of soaps, detergents, and paper products. It has a melting point of 318.4°C, a boiling point of 1388°C, and a refractive index of 1.4. It has no flash point.
