1. Basic Copper Carbonate Introduction
Copper carbonate powder(CuCO3.Cu(OH)2) is a fine, amorphous, peacock green power with a density of 3.85 and a melting point of 200ºC.It is insoluble in cold water and alcohol, but soluble in acid to form that correspond copper salt, and soluble in cyanide, ammonium salt and aqueous solution of alkali carbonates to form a copper complex. Boile in an alkali carbonate solution yields brown copper oxide, And decompose into black copper oxide at 2000ºC. Unstable in a hydrogen sulfide atmosphere. According to the ratio of CuO: CO2: H2O, basic copper carbonate exists in more than ten forms of compounds.

Properties
Appearance: Copper carbonate basic is a greenish-blue solid in its pure form. It is often seen as crystalline powder or solid chunks.
Solubility: Copper carbonate basic is insoluble in water, meaning it does not readily dissolve in water. However, it can slowly react with carbon dioxide and water vapor in the air, forming copper hydroxide and carbon dioxide gas.
Stability: Copper carbonate basic is relatively stable under normal conditions. However, it can decompose at high temperatures, typically above 200°C (392°F), into copper oxide, carbon dioxide, and water vapor.
Color: The compound is known for its vibrant greenish-blue color. The presence of copper ions gives it a distinct hue, making it desirable as a pigment in various applications.
